HS-2000
Main application:Master recorders/players and production recorders for radio transmission
Overview |
Akita broadcasting System (ABS) started in 1953 as a private radio broadcaster and since become a broadcaster that transmits both television and radio programming. ABS is a key station for Nippon Television (NTV), while the radio programming it broadcasts is closely tied to the community.
They have incorporated our HS-2000 units as master recorders/players for radio transmission in their master room and sub studio. The HS-2000 units have replaced 6mm tape decks (backup transmission equipment).
In the master room, the HS-2000 operates as a backup to the APS transmission server. BC$STANDBY tallies are sent from the HS-2000's parallel control connector and play commands are sent from the APS server in this system. BWF-J format is used in take made and in on-air mode, which is a mode unique to the HS-2000.
In the sub-studio, the main application of the HS-2000 is as a production recorder, replacing the 6mm tape decks and MO and MD discs previously used for this work. Moreover, taking advantage of its ability to handle a wide range of formats, it is also used for playback of data brought in from elsewhere.
