PocketStudio 5 Demos

Anxious to get an idea of how cool the new Pocketstudio 5 really is? Here's a chance to find out. Below are several examples of tracks that were recorded via the Pocketstudio 5 and output as MP3 files. Enjoy!

1. Pocketstudio 5 Demo Song

To create this tune, a standard MIDI file (SMF) was composed in Cubase and loaded into the Pocketstudio 5. The Pocketsudio 5's General MIDI (GM) tone generator is providing the sounds for the drums, horns, organ and piano, while the guitars, bass and vocals were all recorded directly into Pocketstudio 5. This stereo MP3 file was encoded on Pocketstudio 5, transferred to the computer via USB and posted to this web site.

2. Vocal Effects Demo

Recorded using the Pocketstudio 5 via the included headset mic, this vocal effects demonstration will walk you through all of the vocal effects presets. This demo features the vocal stylings of Jace Nuzback, known at TASCAM as "Mister Pocketstudio". This stereo MP3 file was encoded on Pocketstudio 5, transferred to the computer via USB and posted to this web site.

3. Guitar Effects

Performed by "Mister Pocketstudio" himself (Jace), here are several examples of the Pocketstudio 5's excellent internal preset guitar effects. No other effects or processors were used to create these sounds, all recorded as MP3 files straight from the Pocketstudio.

4. MIDI Patterns

The Pocketstudio 5 includes 100 MIDI patterns in nearly every conceivable music genre. These patterns can be used as-is, or edited to create original compositions. You can change the length, chord progressions and tempo of each piece to make it all your own. Also perfect for free-form jamming! Below are 13 patterns recorded as MP3 files using the Pocketstudio 5's internal tone generator.
